Bay buyer wants money back?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
I sold a phone which is over 500$ in the description I also said that it has a bad IMEI. It has not been shipped and the money is already being tranfered to my bank from PayPal. Should I ship it anyways, shouldnt he have fully understood before he sent 500$+?

That's a lot of money for the buyer to spend on something that has something wrong with it, even if it was in the description. Yes, he should have understood and read the description fully. You could tell him that it's in the process of shipping and he should at least try it out, but, chances are he'll complain when he gets it, and ebay would probably refund his money. So you might just want to cancel the transaction, and not ship the item.

He can get his money back anyway, if you don't send it back then he only needs to contact PayPal and send the phone back to you so he can get his money back off you.

It's a really flawed system but that's how it works

Cancel transaction. Issue a refund. Dont ship it.

If you described it accurately, you sold it legally, you wait til the money is cleared then send it
