I have read different answers to what I think is a simple question: Does the on line retailer Amazon make a yearly profit? Some finance/ money magazines have answered by saying the company still has not experienced an actual profit. That the value of it's stock is based on the potential of future profitability based on Amazon using it's cash flow and stock value to buy companies, improve it's offerings etc. I think Amazon is a great experience. I am a "prime" customer and enjoy shopping on Amazon. It is excellent. Not to mention their production of quality shows. I just have never been able to get a clear answer to the question; has the on line company seen a traditional profit since it's inception? Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
Every company makes a yearly profit.
Otherwise, they would not be in business.
It's renowned for not being very profitable, just because they keep pouring revenue back into expanding the business, they seem to be stuck in a 'building' phase.
