You need a professional website. You need professional business cards. Local veterinarians are a great way to get business. Many vets keep a referral list on their website and have a counter or rack full of brochures and cards in the office.
You could hand out cards at your local off-leash park.
Donate a pack of ten walks (or whatever you want) to local fundraising auctions. Schools, animal shelters, etc. often do these kinds of auctions and it's a great way to get your name out there in the community.
And for pete's sake...make sure you have a proper business license and liability insurance.
any business is good where there is a demand for what is being offered
if your area doesn't have many dogs or at least ones that need to be walked, it won't be good no matter how much you advertise
flyers on any bulletin boards in grocery stores, laundromats, restaurants
Hi in trying to get a dog walking business going and I was wondering of aome way to advertise.... nothing too expensive.... and I cam up with a couple but I want some suggestions as well....the ones I came up with are 1.) Post on craigslist and other websites and 2.) Put flyers up on places like parks and neighborhoods....can you think of others? And do you think that a dog walking business is a good idea?
