Business Patrner Advice?

I don't know about your country, but in my country (India), all partners need not be automatically active - whether in proportion to their share of investment or otherwise. Why don't you keep her as an investing (but not active) partner and consultant for her ideas.

OK

Are the people that you hired before she came on bringing in any money for you?

If they are, you need to address that situation with her. She might not like them but they are currently revenue for the business

If they are time wasters and not revenue generators, you need to listen to mom.

I am the CEO of an artist management company.

After 2 years I decided to sign my mom under the company as a partner.

However, we've only been in partnership for about 2 months and we can't seem to agree on anything. One of us just settles or gives in on the decision.

I'll be honest about something, I really needed someone to split the cost, travel, and other responsibilities with so I didn't mind splitting the profit.

We just can seem to not think a like on things. She does have some pretty good business ideas but for example, the two people I signed up to manage before we became partners, she doesn't care for them. Says their not marketable. Don't care for their music. Don't care for the beats we choose. Doesn't like some of the rules that were made before she became partner.

Being in this business requires scouting a lot of times. There was a time where she didn't feel like or had the energy to go out and do it. We haven't discussed another time to go since then. She Decided to do something else.

I know it's never good to mix family with business but she deals with the business side of things and I mostly do the foot work. I do the talking and negotiating. She handles the legit and correction in errors etc side of the company.

She has a few good ideas but non of which I couldn't come up with on my own. She owns 50% of the company so she is Intitled to her decision. So I'm trying to be fair, but it's as if we don't click on these things and I'm not sure what to do.
