Okay firstly I don't understand why people would post answers, such as drugs and prostitution, on a question posted by a 14 year old. Secondly, $5,000 is a lot. I'm trying to earn money for college in the fall and I haven't made half of that but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Maybe you can get other family to chip in. I've also been selling stuff that I don't need for college (clothes, books, etc.) on a yard sale page. So maybe see if your town has one and sell stuff that you don't use or need anymore. Also you can try babysitting for a neighbor or something! Good luck!!

Trust me. A 14 year old is not going to make $5000 in any short amount of time.
At 14 you should realize $5,000 isn't petty cash. I suggest you lower your goal and present your parents with a reasonable gift from a 14 year old.
At your age, drug sales is a proven way to make a lot of cash.
