My boyfriend, his brother, and I are moving into our first apartment and plan on splitting all the bills, but how do we finance buying groceries without buying our own and labeling them so that no one else may use them?

Not a good idea because one brother may kill the other. {37% each brother, 26% for you, assuming you eat less, and no one has expensive tastes.} - or maybe just sort of in thirds, with a little rounding. (because it costs time and gas to go get groceries). And do use coupons !

there is no right or wrong answer here. Just what works for you.

at the end of the day you either decide to all eat together or do you own thing. from personal experience I always found it better 'to do your own thing'. So perhaps you and boyfriend do your meals and then his brother sorts himself out.

Have a food cupboard each and label anything that in the fridge or freezer.

This works great, as long as one party isn't the sort that thinks nothing of taking the last of the other parties milk etc !

Tell them that if they pay for everything that you would have a menajahtwa with them..Now you don't have to pay anything...

just keep them in different cabinets, different sides of fridge/freezer
