Job orientation bank info?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
I have orientation today for my first job ever. They asked to bring my license, social security number, and then something with my bank. I do have a debit card but I honestly did not hear her clearly on what info she needed from my bank for them to give me my checks. Is it like my account number? On my bank website they also have different numbers for paper if I'm ordering checks, electronic, and the wire. Which one would I need? I'm confused I've never done this before.

They need your bank account umber and routing number in order to pay you by direct deposit. In future if you do not hear clearly or understand ask the speaker to repeat what they said. Not understanding can lead to serious mistakes.

They likely want to do direct deposit. This means your bank number and router number to your account. Take them in a deposit slip from your checkbook, that's all they need.

Ask them. It is OK to ask your employer questions, you know. They want your account number and bank routing information in order to do a direct deposit.

they need a void cheque.Just go and ask the bank for one. It will have your bank number, transit number and account no which is the information they need to send the money to your account
