I'm 25years old and they are still taking back child support money our of my dad checks for me and my 3 half siblings but none of us are receiving the money I want to know where is the money going? And how do I go about getting my money? I need real serious answers and good advice please thank you.

Somebody is lying.

Once a child is considered a legal adult, the non-custodial parent is no longer required to pay child support payments. However, should there be back child support payments that remain unpaid, the custodial parent still generally has the right to collect on these back payments, even after the child has been emancipated. Regardless of state differences on the age of majority, once the child is officially considered an adult, the custodial parent will not be owed any new child support payments. However, any outstanding payments are still collectable provided the parent files a court order. While the debtor may not currently have the money for the payments, filing a court order means that any money earned in the future can still be collected and paid to the other parent for back child support. Some states have a statute of limitations on how long after the child becomes an adult for a court order to still be enforced.

Let's start with "how to get YOUR money". It's not yours and you won't get it.

As for why your father is still paying child support even though you are over the age of 18, I suspect it's because at some point in time when you were still under 18, he chose to be a deadbeat and not pay. Hence the money he owes from back then is still being taken out of his paycheck to reimburse your mother for the times she had to cover all expenses related to raising you on her own.

You need to talk to your MOTHER. She's the only one entitled to the money. Child support is to help with the extra cost to the custodial parent that is incurred with raising a child. Back child support just means that your father owed her money, but didn't.

It is not "your" money it is money to be used to provide food, clothing and shelter for minors up to the age of 18.

It's not YOUR money. It would go to your mother (or whoever had custody of you as a minor).
