If you have some marketable design, programming or writing-translation skills you might find short term work at one of the freelance worker marketplaces like upwork.com (formerly Odesk.com) and Elance.com
The 2 sites combined handle over 1.3 Billion in jobs a year, there are some less technical jobs like virtual call center or article writer as well.
The only work from home jobs are real, professional jobs that allow you to telecommute, or consulting/freelance work. All of those jobs require experience and marketable professional skills.
