hi all

i won item on ebay and paid for it with Paypal item was sent out 3 days later via myhemes . tracking showed it was at hub the in the morning . so i went to work to come home and find a card from my hermes saying they missed me and left the parcel in a safe place (outbuilding ) i have no out building

then on bottom of card he or she has wrote behind bins but there was nothing behind any bins or in side them i have looked all over my garden and nothing

am i now going to lose out on the money i have paid for this to the seller as its saying deliverd on the tracking

Pester the seller via email to chase Hermes to compensate you for the loss of your parcel. Hermes are the WORST courier company in the UK and sellers only use them because they are cheap but like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

ALL decent couriers would either come back to deliver again or alternatively leave it with a neighbour and get their signature. Only Hermes would leave it behind a bin where it could be stolen or where the driver pretended he left it behind the bin. They are responsible for compensating you for their negligence.

contact the seller through ebay and expalin what has happend, make it clear to them you are not accusing them of not sending the item. Then on Monday (it is unlikely Hemes will be open today, Sunday) and state the card was left but you could not find the parcel. By having the card you know the seller sent the item. Also raise a dispute for non delivery with ebay, they gaurentee delivery or your money back, although Hermes claim they have delivered it so not sure how effictive that will be, your main dispute is with Hermes.

Your dispute is actually with the seller. When you order something online it is the seller's responsibility to get it to you. If the courier company has messed up, it is the seller who has to sort it out with them. because the delivery contract was between the seller and the courier.

Contact the couriers

Complain to the postal service and depending on the carrier if your package was insured and they lost it they have to compensate you for it
