They are both like a Tesco.
A large general merchandise and grocery store.
I want to move to the UK. Any place without Walmart is a happy place. They destroy all local businesses and abuse their employees (obviously not physically). It's really sad.
Target has more of a history as a cheap shopping store. They have more cloths and appliances than groceries where Walmart's claim to fame is that they have everything for really really cheap.
They're American stores, widely known throughout the USA (not too sure about Canada).
Sell almost everything; clothes, electronics, video games, candy, health products, etc etc.
although I don't think you go there to shop for groceries generally. it could be different, i haven't been there in a while. but they have everything else, as well as some food products (but i don't remember a whole food/grocery section. i travel a lot so my memories of stores are all jumbled up)
