What skill does it required?
A CEO must be good at many things. Go and get a business degree or an engineering degree, depending on the industry in which you want to work. The CEO owns the company. If you work for someone else, you will not be a CEO but, you may become President or V.P.
You need a business education and a lot of real world experience in order to eventually be recruited as a CEO, I don't know of a CEO degree, though there are business management courses which are essentially that job role.
It may not be the most reliable plan for making a big income, since there are so few CEO opportunities and lots of well qualified candidates.

first step: education (probably a masters in business), second step: experience in sales/marketing/finance/development like sales engineer, sales analyst, product development, third step: experience in supervision and management and excel in working with people
