Best would be to major in business. My brother has a degree in entrepreneurship and for his final project they had to write a business plan for a company. The company he made for the class is the one he runs now.

To start a business you need a loan, ideally from saving money but also from parents or relatives or friends. The government offers loans to small businesses too.

To figure out what is needed, you need to do market research, which you will learn how to do in school.

Or do as some people do and skip school and just start the business and learn as you go along. There are lots of books on how to do it.

How to decide:

Service oriented? Industrial? Soo many options. How do I know what is needed and what is saturated?
