Veteran Owned Painting Company?

It is important to remember that there will always be someone that will be willing to sell cheaper. A smart small businessman once told me about a sign he once saw hanging on the wall of a local business, Quality, Service, Price pick two! You can't be everything to everyone. As for growing your business, try email marketing, social media, ads on Angie's List. Also try visiting each of the local builders and meet with them to discuss their needs, find out what is important to them and then explain how your business can meet those needs.

I own a small business as a painting contractor and being licensed and insured it seems that my competition who decides not to become legal beats me out on quotes at least 60% of the time. Rather than complain the whole time I'm looking for advice for drumming up new work. I have one main builder and nearly the rest of our jobs had come from word of mouth, craigslist, or thumbtack.com. Are there any other sources I should try?
