How do I request a refund?

Print

To request a refund, send the seller an email. Ask the seller to go to the Transaction Details page for your transaction and click Issue a refund.

You can request a refund up to 60 days after you pay for your item.

Here’s how to find the seller’s contact information:

Log in to your PayPal account.

Click History.

Click Details next to the transaction you want a refund for.

Use the contact information to send the seller an email.

If your seller doesn’t agree to refund your money, you may be able to open a dispute in the Resolution Center. You can open a dispute if you didn’t receive your item or you received something that doesn’t match the seller’s description. (You must open your dispute within 45 days of paying for your item.)

In the Resolution Center, you can communicate directly with the seller and try to resolve the problem. If you aren’t able to work it out, we may be able to help you get a refund.

Note:

If you paid with your debit card or credit card, your payment is refunded to your debit card or credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement.

If you paid with your bank account or PayPal balance, your payment is refunded to your PayPal account.

There is a phone number to get a person in your native language. There is a phone number for customer service but you have to get into your account and use your pin. It takes about 30 days and you will have your money back. I am sure the reason paypal have not answered your email is, in the USA where I lived there system was down so I wish you luck and I know you will get your money back soon. Let me know what happens and/or any other questions.

You sent it as gift. You have no way to recover the money.

When you specify gift, the person you pay has no obligation to send you anything or do anything. So you can try disputing with Paypal, but you're going to lose. Paypal will tell you there is no recovery for payments made as gifts.

Sorry that you got scammed, but this is how scammers succeed. They know the loopholes. They know if they can talk you into sending as gift that there's nothing you can do.

You might try other options (calling police in his town, etc.) but don't expect to get any help from Paypal.

Before getting the cops involoved, you should

file a dispute on paypal. I got scamemd with a concert ticket too,

but it was $800. >_< FML.

Anyways, Click on that transaction and file a dispute immediately.

It woll freeze his fxcken account and he has a choice of either refunding

or showing proof that he gave you the tickets. This will take a few hours to a few

minutes.

When you do this, YOU WILL GET ALL YOUR MONEY.

He has no choice. cuz he didnt have proof of giving you the

ticket and the other choice is refund.

IF he doesnt respond to the paypal dispute,

you automaticcaly win 24hours later. :)

If it was sent as a Gift you cannot get your money back from Paypal. A gift can never be refunded or reversed

All you can do is file a police report for theft and hope they can find this person

Open up a dispute with Paypal to dispute the charge. There are a lot of scams with Craigslist, which is where I'm assuming you met this person. Always buy tickets on a legit ticket website to avoid fake tickets.

I'm gonna make this very concise.

Me as a seller agreed on concert ticket for $400. He said he would send me the eticket via PDF on email after he received payment. Afterwards he stopped all contact. I didn't worry much until my friend contacted him and he replied to her and offered SAME ticket for same price. He deleted all his other contact info, and would not respond to me.

I emailed paypal many times and cannot call currently because I'm in a foreign country without international calling line.

Also I sent the payment NOT as gift/goods as he instructed.

Half from my PP balance an half from bank account transfer.

Someone help?!? How to get my money back?!
