Rate my logo for my business?

At a minimum, I think you should add a thin stroke (thin black line) around the letters and feet. As it is, it is a little washed out and a little hard to focus the eyes on. Depending on which graphics program you are using, this could be as easy as choosing the layer or object and using the Stroke function to pick a thickness.

That said, I think it might be more effective to have a logo that is simpler. While you don't need to use just two colors, your logo should be strong enough that it works with just black and white. I would lean towards Tammy Toes with more simple line-art feet/toes. I would also consider adding Lawn Care or something like that to the logo for unfamiliar eyes.

Despite what others may say I think it can be very effective for a small business to have a cute, goofy, or quirky name. By presenting yourself as a small and more unique company, you send the message that you're going to be more devoted to your individual relationship with customers. A name like Tammy Toes is easy to remember and stands out next to other, more generic sounding names. There is a danger of sounding less professional, but you can, and must, compensate for that by reliably delivering excellent service.

Think of it this way: If you are at a diner with advertisements on the placemats, and you see an ad for a lawn care company with a name like True Cut, how much is that going to catch your eye? Tammy Toes Lawn & Garden is quirky enough that it doesn't just blend in with everything around it. The same goes for the signage on your vehicles and any other methods of advertising.

At the same time, you need a sharp delivery. I think that your current logo perhaps doesn't do what it would take to convey all of the information needed in the fraction of a second that you have that potential customer's attention. If I close my eyes and think about what it would take for me to get everything I need in that moment, I see simpler line art letters and big cartoony toes, maybe with grass coming through them.

I hope this is some help. I'm happy to give more feedback.

Is pretty mediocre. Doest come across well with what you actually do. I would suggest something like this buddy.

It looks childish and nobody will respect you or your business when they see it. They will think its a kid running a useless business. Sorry but that is how it looks. At least you didn't "steal" your logo from other places like a lot of people do nowadays so credit goes to you for that.

Your logo will look rubbish on a letterhead and business card and what happens when our brief summer ends suddenly and women start covering their toes again?

=====UPDATE=====

LMFAO, I just visited your website, you are advertising a lawn care service with the name of Tammy Toes? Are you nuts, who is going to hire you for lawn care when they see your logos, it looks like you look after ladies toes?? This is a classic example of a totally misleading logo, you advertise toes and do lawn care instead???? WTF????

It's a bit busy. Probably works just as well without the grass or planet thing.

Far too much for a logo which should be crisp and smart.

I designed this for our business.

it also can be seen on my website st http://www.tammytoes.com

I was trying to go for a fun logo, opposed to the usual boring forgettable logos used

thanks in advance
