Is now a good time to start a business ?

It would be great if you actually told us what the business was, and how much money you do have

This time of year is excellent for starting a business, if it is in anyway related to all the buying that goes on for Christmas, and all its connections

You can always try 'test trading' and see how you get on with that,

then take it to the next level if it works out

starting a new business is very risky and you might be able to pay yourself a paycheck for a long time if ever - you could be working 100 hrs a week for zero wages early on - if you can start a business part-time/weekends, that is much safer

yes

I have had an idea I have been working on perfecting for quite some time and now I finally have a fully formulated and revised business plan, I have already started laying down the ground work and I'm ready to move things along even more. I currently work a regular 9-5 mon- fri and I get by but I'm not doing great, I have consulted with a few of friends and their advice is to wait until I have a large amount of money saved up before I start my business but should I? I am 25 years old but time is flying by and I'm not getting younger and who knows when I will have enough money saved up. There is nothing else out there like what I want to do and I feel like the longer I wait the chance of someone else coming coming up with the same idea increases and I simply feel like I'm just wasting time. I like my current job but I don't have a passion for it, I'm at work right now and all I can think about is constantly improving my plan.

I am not saying that I am going to be the next steve jobs or anything like that but when I look back on his story they basically started apple with nothing but their determination for success hitting multiple speed bumps on the way. I guess what I'm asking is should I listen to my friends and wait until I'm in a better financial position or should I follow my gut and jump in head first?
