I don't know your situation or gender, but can tell you that I work with an organization that helps teens (primarily runaways) get off the street and out of trafficked lifestyles (sex for money). A lot of the girls we help are great kids that came from bad home lives. They ran away to find a job or better lifestyle but were not thoroughly prepared with finances. Bad can quickly and drastically get worse when you are facing homelessness and hunger. Please think through that decision and have backup plans upon backup plans. Living in a strange city without guaranteed jobs and no family support system can put you in a terrible situation.

I've thought about this situation before. And I've read that if you want to run away you MUST take as much money as possible if you are going to carry out your plans. Money is key when your planning on running away.
