Business degree or engineering degree?

You could take either route and be successful. If your passion is building the business then go for the business degree. As you say you can hire others and you will need to at some point. If your passion is on the technical side go for the Engineering degree. You can then partner with an accounting friend and build the business together. I am an engineer (PE) and I enjoy my job very much. Good luck to you.

Get the engineering degree. My kid just graduated with a business type degree and hasn't found a job yet, while his friends who have engineering degrees all got jobs right away, and they all pay very well. I say get the engineering degree and take a few classes on running a business on the side if you want.

If I wanted to go into business and my business involved manufacturing would it be better for me to get an engineering degree or business degree. If I got a business degree would I be able to hire engineers to perfect the product. (Product is used in commercial areas and outdoors and if not made properly could be a safety hazard) so what do you think would be most beneficial?
