Try to maximize your income. Find out what your friends charge.
Be available at the last minute, be prompt and be GREAT with the kids and charge $1. more per hour than the competition. Good babysitters can charge more.
$6 - 7 per hour if it's just a date night/occasional gig. That seems fair to me. However it really depends on where you live. If it's a full time gig. There are a lot of other variables to consider like what the minimum wage is in your area. I charged $5 per hour when I babysat for date nights. Ask your parents. other babysitters, friends with kids...etc what they would pay/charge. Be careful though. A lot of parents never need a babysitter and therefore just quote what they were paid as kids. My way of charging is that $5 per hour per one child, then add an extra dollar per hour for another or extra house cleaning and cooking and such. I hope this helps, :) God Bless. :)
I'm babysitting a 10 y/o and an 8 y/o around how much should I charge per hour?
