$78K a year is considered a good, upper-middle class income anywhere. With your relatively low cost of living you should be able to save for retirement and have some fun money as well. It might be just OK in San Francisco or New York where housing is so expensive (it costs 216% of the national average to live in Manhattan)
One simple retirement guide suggest saving 8 years salary by retirement age, even saving 20% a year it can still take you 40 years to squirrel away that much.
Something is better than nothing anyway I make 187200 per year and my wife make 124800. Thats 12k bi weekly not including our investment properties and other investment earning.
We live cheap, save and invest our money. We always take one cheap cruise every year.
We live in the Los Angeles area(born and raise) and will die here. Due to this recent cali drought, I started a side landscaping business with my brother which is blowing up right now. Time is money
Best of luck
Anything over a thousand a week is normal income that is over 50K a year so if two earners 100K should be excessive.
I live in TN and 500 per week is good money. Not great but plenty to live on.
That would be a good salary, fewer than 30% of workers earn more.
I'd call that darn good money. I get about $2400 a month for two adults, and we live in a hotel room!
For one person? $1500 a week after taxes.
definitely $78,000 a year would be a good salary.
yes it is
