Please explain me why it is 6000 and not 5000 dollars.
Pleaqse, think with me:
Since 20 - 15 = 5, my boss told me that I worked 5 days.
However the day 15 is included.
It seems a problem of closed interval.
By the way, this is not a real fact, it was just created to explain a math problem.
15, 16, 16, 18, 19, 20 . Thats 6 days times 1000
How much dollars? I have a feeling language is the issue.
The 15 represents something more than a number itself, so you cannot simply subtract...that's the issue with attempting to simplify the problem.
If inclusive, you would need to take ("Large Number" less "Small Number") + 1 to get your number.
If exclusive, ("Large Number" less "Small Number") - 1
1,000 dollars a day
you worked on the 15th ? then the 16th ,17th,18th 19th 20th ? = 6,000 ( count the dates <<<<< )
Simple math.
15,16,17,18,19,20 - that's 6 different days
