I am trying to figure out how marriage affects personal finance. I have a bank savings account POD my siblings. Once I get married, the POD designation doesn't automatically change to my husband, does it? The POD beneficiaries can't be changed unless I contact the bank, right?

The ONLY thing that changes ownership of bank accounts is the FORM provided by the bank for that purpose. Even if marriage legally gives the spouse rights to the account, the BANK is bound by the account documents.

I don't know what the hell you think POD means, but how in the hell do you think the bank is supposed to know that you got married?

Nothing changes unless you change it yourself.
