Money managment tips?

I'm a 16 year old girl and my allowence is $80 each month. I have to pay for my clothing, shoes and bags. My mom pays for most of my products but if I want more I'll have to pay for them. I always end up with an empty wallet and no signs of where the money went. I spend the money little by little and at the end I have no money and no clothes. how do I manage my money better?

cash it and hide it from yourself...I usually put it somewhere I would forget about to the point I won't it but still remember where it was...in highschool I used to hide money in my record sleeves and now that i'm an adult I put it in a jar and leave it in the freezer lol!! did the freezer thing and saved about 400$ last year

Plan your budget long term so if you know you will need shoes and clothes for back to school start putting away some each month same for Christmas or other occasions. The first of each month divide your money into categories in a spread sheet or envelopes. So if you have envelopes for snacks, shoes, clothing, bags, vacations and gifts for example you could put $10-15 in each envelope. Then when you want something say a snack and you are out of that money you know if you take it from another you will be short.

Put the money somewhere where you can't spend it; if you don't have it to spend, you won't be able to spend it.

Take a look at your receipts and see what you're buying; or keep a buying journal.

Eighty dollars a month, so, twenty dollars a week.

Therefore you can't exceed spending five dollars a day, IF.... you only spend money on four days of the week.

so buy a notebook when you next get an allowance and WRITE down every single transaction.

Double-entry bookkeeping was the best thing the Borgias came up with...

Get on a written plan. I have a written plan and have money in my wallet. Amazing.

Save and spend, do not try to spend and to save the balance left out. !!

why do you need so much new clothes and shoes?
