Is bitcoin recognized as currency in any countries?

also, do any countries officially recognize electronic currency as legal money? I know it's legal in most places, but by "legal" I mean it's allowed to be used for buisness in place of dollars, similar to how gold used to be used as common currency.

Some countries are drafting legislation to regulate crypto-currencies, like Bitcoin. The US dollar should be considered an electronic currency, since 90% of it just exists as numbers stored in computers.

No country recognizes bitcoins as currency, but they want to so they can tax it.

As currency no but you can use it in plenty of places for example I just used bit coins on HOTCAMSDAILY.com

a lot of places accept bitcoin, just google the bitcoin map and it shows all traders who accept it as a form of payment

some places in the USA will accept bitcoins now

No.
