Unfortunately Western Union is much like ailing cash to anonymous parties, there's probably little you can do, Western Union is supposed to ask for an ID from the recipient, which you can ask for, but if a professional scam artists it will probably be bogus, ID checks are not really enforced in some countries.
Doesn't sound lijne an internet company committing fraud, which you could report to the FBI

Maybe try the police in your city or theirs?
Not all but most scam artist want to use western union. If dealing with people with large amounts of money anything you don't want taken from you use a online pay processor or escrow account when you receive and are satisfied that you got what you got then release funds. As to recourse
Accept the fact that you were scammed. A tough lesson to learn but at least it was not a great amount of money. Never use Western Union unless you know the person yourself.
Next time don't fall for a scam... Sorry you got burned, but try to be smarter than that next time.
You go to the police with copies of all emails, texts, receipts, etc and file a theft report against the person. Unfortunately most scammers use fake names and burner phones paid for in cash so they can't be traced
I can get it back for you, but I charge $200 so there's probably no point.
it wouldn't really be a scam if you could recover your money. If you're using the word, you already know you cant get your money back.... right?
yes you were robbed and hopefully learned a very expensive lesson. There is virtually nothing you can do, if it makes you feel better call the police
