faking your own death in America you'd get jailtime. Maybe even they'd give you a shrink.
But if you're in debt here at $30K you'd file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy if you were employed, and Chapter 7 if you weren't employed. You'd have to hire an attorney (ask if you can add them on the Chapter 13 payment plan, it goes for 5 years).
Of course a bankruptcy would make it difficult to get a job in certain careers but here we have something called Consumer Credit Counseling that would help you repay that money if you're currently employed and it's a payment plan of 5 years and you don't have to go bankrupt.
OK.. firstly how is convincing everyone you are dead going to improve matters ? Think it through for a minute. OK, say you manage to convince everyone you are dead. A death certifcate is issued and a funeral held etc etc. So there you are, as far as the world is concerned, dead. Your debt has gone ! So that's one problem solved, but a whole load of other issued will just be about to start.
Now what do you do for money, for income ? You are dead - your National Insurance number etc is no longer valid. Thats cancelled on death - you can't work. You can't claim benefits. You can't sign a lease on a flat etc. You can't see a doctor etc. Unless you have huge sums of money, which you obviously don't - to go and live in somewhere like South America or South East Asia for the rest of your life - pretending to be dead don't help. And, as and when, you get found out - you will then be prosecuted and probably end up in prison !
Reading your other posts - what will your wife and children do or the girl you had sex with 2 days ago and who is now pregnant with your child too ! LOL
First thing you should do is jump on a public forum announcing your plan to commit FRAUD. That was, law enforcement can easily find out of your plan, and decide if you are really dead, or faking your death. After they decide that you are committing fraud, they will charge you with a crime, and when you get arrested, put you on trial. You then probably will get to spend time in prison, and still have to repay your debt back.
Or, you could look into bankruptcy. I don't know the process in the UK (where I assume you live from you stating that you owe "￡30,000" instead of "$30,000"), so you will need to check on that.
Not going to help you out much.
Even if you succeed you'll be on the run for the rest of your life. And they can try to find you back.. and if it comes out well the debt will be there waiting for you.
You might have to ask for restructuring of the debt in such a way that your monthly payment is less. That way you get a bit more breathing room.
So rather than just buckling down for a few years, getting an extra job, and living thriftily you want to remove yourself from society completely and hide out for the rest of your life? Wow, laziness has reached a new pinnacle.
Why not just declare bankruptcy? Faking your death makes everything worse as then you can't work, can't drive, can't travel, can't rent a place to live, etc

A pointless idea that will inevitably result in your being caught and whoever gains from a fraud finishing up in jail.
