Does politics really affect or matter to you ?

I work really hard and make enough money to live a comfortable live and I will graduate college with no debt, except for taxes which I really don't mind and the religious **** people try to enforce on this country, I really don't care who's in political office.

I've been an Accountant working for Public Firms for the past 27 years. I see Economics on a daily basis, and to be good at what I do I must understand my clients, their businesses and their industries in which they do business. So it troubles me to see so many uniformed people who vote for mostly Attorneys running for Public Office. As an Accountant I find Attorneys to be stupid but smart enough with sophistry to convince the uniformed that they know what's going on and how they would be able to fix problems. I'm tired of watching the liars leading the blind in a circle! I'm tired of arguing with those that believe that their uninformed uneducated opinion is no different than a well educated opinion based on education, practice and fact! When I give my opinion it goes unquestioned and ignored, then the Union member I've been debating keeps parroting "They're Rich because I'm Poor!", "I'm Fat because they are Skinny", "Hands up don't shoot"!

I’m a Christian and I know that I’m imperfect and fallible, but I expect ethics in politics as is taught in Christianity as I believe in mercy and kindness and expect those things from myself and others, but don’t let that make you think that I’m going to roll over either. I have rights and don't tread on me, otherwise I'm no threat to you!

Politics affect everyone's personal lives but politicans rather a person should care more about Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao instead of laws passed by legislators that affect their lives personally. Most people in the United States tonight will care who will win that rigged fight instead of the many freedoms Obama took away from them by signing the TPP into law.

Yes, you need to watch which way things are going to make choices in your own life. For example retirement accounts may be raided by the government in some form. We can see it coming like there is talk of reducing SS for those who don't need it. It started when my mom was still working and dad was retired they taxes half his SS because she was working. Now I am retired and they will tax 85% of my SS because I saved for retirement. In the future they may decide anyhow who saved for retirement doesn't need SS at all and turn it into a welfare program. They had talked once of taking our 401K and having the government help us manage them. I rolled mine to a IRA but when they come for them I will withdraw it all and pay the tax then hide the money in the mattress or something.

Our local people are trying to raise minimum wage to $15 which means companies I am invested in might become bad investments so if that seems to be happening nationwide I will get out of low paid business who will be wiped out when payrolls double.

Well, on one hand it matters but ultimately your life is totally up to you.

Ultimately, the US will decline like others have before it, in that respect politics does matter. The standard of living has been decreasing for years now.

Yes, it really does affect and matter to me. You have too much going on in this stage of your life to realize the impact of politics.......you'll understand better after you graduate and have the time and energy to pay closer attention.

Yeah and then the Democrats will call you a greedy rich 1% after you work hard and become successful. You will have to pay away your lifeblood in Democrat imposed taxes while the gimmedat low info Democrat voters live off welfare paid for by your taxes. You'll care then.

Religious what? Listen up faggt, people like you are the 1st claim you're being persecuted when courts slap demonrats across the face, and yet you're also the 1st to attack those religious people.

In other words, you are an intolerant worthless sack of sh!t whose dad was too stupid to remember the condoms.

It matters to me A LOT after 8 dark years of Baby Bush and his old Dick. It's scary to watch your country being swept into a toilet full of GOP morons! SCARY!

It got me to wake up.

Yes. I enjoy seeing Republicans get upset.

When you start paying those taxes, it will matter....When you buy your first home, it will matter. When you have children, it will matter.... When you can't find a decent paying job, with your degree, it will matter.

Eventually, it will matter.
