If you have a tracking number and check it regularly, you will know all the information that is available. If it doesn't get scanned in Nigeria, there is nothing you can do.
The tracking number is on your post office receipt and on the Customs Declaration. You will need that to make an insurance claim eventually, if it isn't delivered after a couple months. If you didn't save it, you are out of luck.
That's not possible. You can only track it while in the US. Nigerian post is not computerized and there is no way to track normal mail online. If you are sending to a country like Nigeria that you want to track the whole way you have to use a private courier like UPS, DHL, etc
You can only track the package by US mail until the it left US custody.
Did you pay extra to register it, or for tracking? If you just sent it regular first class mail, won't happen.
Please say you weren't sending money to some stranger, for ANYthing.
