Hello,
My name is Nicole, and I'm emailing you about 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L with an gasoline engine, automatic transmission and only 70,005 k miles. Never had or need any paint/body work done, garaged keep always, without any mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape as well, electric is working perfectly. The engine 2.4L V4, runs very good and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. Has a clean and clear US title in my name and there are no liens or loans on it. The price was reduced at $2,500 as I need to sell it before May 14th, when I'll be leaving with my unit back to Baghdad replacing the troops scheduled to come home. The deal includes free delivery and the vehicle will arrive at your address in 2-3 business days so my presence it's not necessary cause I have everything arranged with Google Wallet. You will have 5 days to test and inspect it before I receive any money and if by any reason you find something you don't like about, you can send it back on my expense and you will receive a full refund of your money. It is located in Bismarck, ND sealed into a container and ready to be shipped to its new owner. If you're interested in purchasing it, I can ask Google Wallet to send you an email with more info on how to purchase it and how to make the payment and all I need from you is your full name, phone# and shipping address and Google Wallet will contact you shortly after I forward them your contact details.
scam
Craigslist is ONLY for face to face transactions. Also you never agree to buy any car without meeting the seller in person and checking their license against the title. If you can't you are buying a stolen vehicle
Why would anyone ship a car already priced below market value when they could get minimum $5000 cash in hand in 10 minutes from any local dealer if the car weren't stolen?
Read this page http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams -- it's there for a reason
That same picture is listed on a dealer in Chicago's website for $8990. A scammer just stole the pics off that site
Yes, when they start waffling about traveling to other countries, things you don't need to know it is a scam, troops indeed! They think they will get believed more if they have a marvellous job or they are "captain" something but it really blows their cover to me. As well as that it's probably not really a woman, some of them think women are more trusted too, and maybe they are by some, but most scammers are male. Also, they have no reason to hide the number plate on the picture, it is evident they have lifted it from somewhere, you can do an image search on google to see where they nicked the picture from..
That's 100 percent a scam. You can sell your car to Carmax for more money than that car is listed for. Furthermore, my husband works for the fourth largest carhauling company in America. No cars are trucked in containers. They are put on carhauling semi trucks and put into containers at the ports. This person is full of poo.
Edit: One more note there isn't a carhauling company on the planet that charges less than a dollar a mile for transport. I don't know where you live but do the math. No one does free delivery. They have to hire a company that by law is insured to the hilt and has to operate in compliance with the US Department of Transportation along with each individual states laws.
NEVER buy a car that you cannot inspect in person and you never send payment thru the mail. ONLY buy local and complete the sale at a Notary's office. shipping it to you would cost $1000 (and they won';t ship it, because it probably doesn't exist) - RUN AWAY SCREAMING - Its a scam
You know the saying, if it's too good to be true..
It could very well be just a picture of the car, it's been done before, you are tricked into buying the photo of the car and that's what they deliver to you.
Yes. It is a SCAM.
The scammer just lifted a picture off the internet. There is no car.
Yes
Yes, it appears a scam or some one harvesting emails for other purpose than selling car.
"seller" asks you to text your email to him so he can send you more information, details and photos....I directly you give the "seller" a permission to spam you.
If you have to ask you're not the brightest in your litter are you?
this is not an English speaker which is a dead giveaway
