i recieved a job offer on craigslists. im supposed to advertise a single post in two states daily for company called "Vodka and Grapefruit Juice" they will pay me $500 a week for this through western union..... im only 19 with a baby on the way and recently laid off. cannot find a job in this town and believe me im motivated well. i have posted my resume on craigslist and got this response. i dont know if this is a scam tho. i have been a target of many scams and usaully can point them out before i get caught in them. too bad companies dont seek out hard working people as much as scammers do. i cant find any info on this company anywhere and am wondering if anyone has any idea if this is a scam type setup.

It's a scam. You will be listing fake car wrap scams that will cost victims over $1000 each. When they report it, the police arrest you as you placed the ads and you will also be forced to pay restitution to every victim who lost money in the scam

If this were at all legit they would have an intern or assistant in the office placing ads or would hire a temp from a temp agency for an hour a day at $15/hour

NEVER post your résumé on Craigslist. No real employers ever look there. It's only scammers who will contact you

It is a scam. Do not post any ads for anybody. You would be helping offshore people post and scam others in the USA. They need people from the USA to post, since their offshore scamming IDs would be banned.

They will NOT pay you through Western Union. That is only a promise, not reality.

There is one legitimate stay at home job I found with customer service, through Craigs List. The others are either scams or generate very little income. Look for the customer service, if you can sit and answer the phone intelligently.

Of course it's a scam. This is so simple that, if genuine, they could get there 5 year old kid to do it for 1$ a time, not pay you $500 a week.

It's a scam of some sort. If it was legitimate, they could have someone at close to minimum wage posting these and not be paying them $500 a week.

These type of scams are very common unfortunately on Craig's list. Basically if it sounds too good to be true it is.

what are they asking for in their response to your ad for a job?

examine it carefully if you do not have to reveal too much personal information initially it might be something to follow up

or you can see if the place has a web site you can access to see how viable it is

100% SCAM! Do not reply or contact them in any way!
