Why does America constantly lay off workers?

he company that I work for has offices all over the world (Europe, Africa, Asia and S. America, Oceania, Canada) but layoffs only happen in North America.

What is the reason?

Unprofitable. Pretty easy to figure out which offices bring in revenue...

job loss is very common here in the U.S. most people get laid off cause either there is someone who is willing to work for cheaper than you are. or bigger businesses are taking away your business its a battle field whoever has more money wins.

Constantly?

What is the source of your analysis?

If it is one company, its not something 'America' is doing. Its what your company is doing, so likely related to costs here.

Many possibilities. It could be that American workers are the costliest in terms of pay, benefits, regulations, etc, thus getting rid of them is the largest cost cutting move with the lowest loss of workers. It could be that the work/product done by those locations is not meeting expectation or is the lowest profit margins, thus they are cutting that.
