If the Postal carrier normally delivers parcels to the residence door, then the box would be handled the same way. This might mean the box would be left at the door, no signature required, or only a note placed in the mail box saying delivery attempted, call to schedule another delivery date. If there has been high mailbox vandalism in an area, the Postal carrier will often not leave parcels or even notices for attempted deliveries, to keep parcels and tracking information safe for customers. Check the latest tracking update for one which indicates the delivery was attempted.
If you are unable to locate a redelivery notice or slip even when the online tracking data indicates the Postal carrier attempted to deliver a package to your address, use the online form to notify the Post Office of when to deliver the package again, or ask the Post Office to hold the package at the local Post Office branch which handles your ZIP Code so you can retrieve the package yourself. The online tracking data will provide you with the specific information required on the form.

For most people the shipping address & billing address is the same.
The shipping address is where you want your pkg delivered.
If your item is coming by UPS or Fed Ex, it has to be shipped to a physical address such as your home. If it's coming by USPS, they will deliver your item to your po box or mail box. If your mail is delivered to a PO box & it does NOT fit, they will leave you a note that you have a pkg. If it does NOT fit in your mailbox - they will leave it next to your door unless it requires a signature. You can call & ask your PO to hold your pkg.
In my area, whether it is UPS or USPS, they will just leave the pkg next to your door if you are not home, unless the pkg requires a signature. If so, they will leave a note & return the next day.
If you are afraid of someone stealing your pkg if you are NOT home, have it shipped to another address where you know someone will be home. You can call the PO & ask them to hold your pkg; but you can't have your pkg shipped to your post office. If you have a PO box & this is the shipping address you use, then yes it will go to the PO & then to your PO box...
Good Luck
