Was Wal-Mart right in this situation?

So, I was driving and I needed to go somewhere to charge up my phone. So, I went to a Walmart and found an outlet to charge my phone when an employee said that wasn't allowed since that is "stealing energy". [odd] Yet, when I go to other places like McDonald's or Wendy's, I always used the outlet they provide and not one employee has complained of me "stealing energy".

Umm ya. Walmart was right! You don't just go walking into Walmart and plug in your phone. What were you doing sitting on the floor next to your phone? That's odd! McDonalds and Wendys are places that offer that. You sit there and eat your food. And I know at least McDonald's offers WiFi. They invite you there to sit and stay and child out. Walmart is not the place to go charge your phone!

Guess you learned that you were not at McDonalds or Wendy's

Wendy's and McDonald's offer it as a courtesy. Wal-Mart obviously does not.

They'd rather sell you an inverter to use in your car. If they'd rather you not loiter there using their energy, they can tell you to leave.

WalMart was right.

of course they were.
