Neither are starting salaries for someone w/ no experience. I can't tell you if the amount of money is enough for your needs - you know how you want to live, and in turn can calculate how much money you need for that lifestyle. I do know that you should set your sights lower and be ready to take a more entry level job that may pay less. The mean salary in GA is $46,000.
Finally, don't select a career you hate becasue it makes more money. You'll regret it eventually.
have you ever even written down a budget? and a $53,500 salary doesn't actually pay you that much - as lot will be withheld for taxes, health insurance, etc $53k is above the National household income
people live in way less then 53,000 so 53000 is a good starting salary especially if that is what you like to do.
There is a saying,
if you like what you do, you will never work a single day in your life
And what makes you think you'll get a job at all just because you get a degree?
Might end up at McD making $7.25 hr at the end...
Go for computer forensics it is much more fun and valuable. $50k/yr is slightly better than if you were like impoverished
Its about $20,000 above poverty level, so its not bad.
you must be brain dead
