How to sell on ebay?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
Never done this before.

My listed item was sold and ebay sent me a "Send invoice to buyer" message along with some requests the buyer made.

Here is what the buyer said:

1. send me your PayPal email i.D or login into your PayPal account and send me an invoice to my PayPal email ID:(xxxxxxxx) because i need to verify it first by pay pal if maybe its genuine or not

2, send me information about the package by attaching a picture, also ebay user ID and iterm number

3, send me the total amount of the package, including with an overnight (Next day air) 24hrs shipment price by Fedex or Ups. Thanks.

Are his requests legit? And what should I do next?

Sounds like a scam

You only issue an invoice through your Eby history and DO NOT send the item before it appears as PAID in your EBay history. Don't trust any emails. Scammers send fake emails that only look like they are from EBay or Paypal. Until it shows as PAID under your EBay history and you go to paypal.com and see the money don't send it

He doesn't need you to send your paypal ID, that's on the invoice generated by EBay and he doesn't need the item number or a picture as that's in your ad he bid on.

This buyer is really fishy

The buyer generated a request for the total to you because you didnt send him an invoice.

Send the buyer an invoice with correct shipping and item price total. Go to your Sold Items summary, at the right is a drop down menu More Actions. Click on Send Invoice or Order Details.

He can see your Paypal address on his Order Details so I dont know why he wants it but he needs that to pay you. You have a photo of the item and the ID number on the listing so I dont know why he is asking for that.

He wants the item by Overnight Next Day Air, so look it up and put that in the shipping cost on the invoice.

I dont see what problem there is.

none of that is necessary he pays by paypal through ebay and you send the package by whatever method you want , the sale is over you have nothing more to do , check his feedback if it's bad or very low cancel the sale

Some buyers smell bad. This one stinks. They don't need your PayPal email address. This looks like a scammer trying to send you a fake PayPal email saying you've been paid when you really haven't.

you should have read everything before listing for sale
