Okay so I'm here waiting for it to be 8. But I'm not dressed in work uniform. I'm not planning to work as for today should have been my day off. Either way, if I only work 5 days I still would get paid the same. Taxes takes more money out of my paycheck the more I work.
What should I tell him? I feel like telling him that I will not be there for his convenience. But I'm not sure if I should.
I did call the store owner to report that he and the managers were exploiting me because of my ability to do things quick. They had me covering for people who would go on vacation. I mean, what the hell is that? I was promised to be given a position and they have me all over the place.
When a staff member is on holiday, other staff will have more work. If you are the only one being given more work, that is unfair.
It is hard to give a full opinion because I wasn't there and it might have been your tone of voice that he was reacting to.
Fact is, you're his employee. You are there for his convenience and to do your job, for which you are given money.
