if it doesnt say that then you NO YOU WILL not get today
Officially, the Post Office is closed on 25 December for the holiday, but packages sent using Priority Mail Express will be delivered on Christmas Day and New Years Day. These news stories indicate Postal carriers will be delivering packages on 25 December, so hopefully the tracking update mentioned in the question means you also may be in luck to get a package today.

all post office locations will be closed on December 25 as it is one of ten federal holidays that the USPS is closed. However, there will be limited staff working on the holiday ― Priority Express packages will be delivered on Christmas...........this is very unusual, but the PO is trying to be competitive with the major shipping companies, who do not deliver on Christmas day
Express Mail, yes. Priority Mail, maybe - depends on location - some offices are delivering packages, some aren't.
Many offices will have a couple carriers in to run parcels and express mail out to customers.
If it was sent express mail, guaranteed, it will be delivered but most packages won't be.
