Will a $4100 withdraw from my checking account look suspicious?

I've never been to Vegas but I would assume you could get money there in Vegas in the amounts you want. But what you're saying is that you want to have cash on you and that's not a good thing to do if you're traveling. Why not call American Express and ask them how to accomplish this. Ask them if you could give them a bank check from your savings account and if that could be put in large travelers checks so you could feel safer while traveling. If they're in large denominations you could cash them as you need them once in Vegas in one of the establishments.

No one cares if you withdraw that amount. No one is monitoring or comparing. Go for it.

Yes, the man is always watching you! He will arrest you for drug dealing and shipping arms to Iraq if you withdraw that much! True story!

Seriously though, no, friend, if you have money in an account, its yours to do what you damn well please with and would only look suspicious if you are under investigation for something already.

No, why should it? Its your money and you can do anything

you want with it. Be carefull, as most people lose money in

Las vegas. Stay away from the slot machines.

I am turning you in just for talking about it. No. Better yet when going to Vegas or Reno leave your wallett at home.

If I withdraw $4100 from my checking account will it look suspicious, is there a good chance they might report it? I am planning a trip to Vegas and want to get $4000 in $100 bills and $100 in $1 bills so it's easier for tipping. I have about $32,000 in my account, but the biggest withdraw I have ever made from it was $300 from the ATM. I know they have to report any transaction of $10,000 or more and I think $5,000 also but not sure. I'm just thinking that they will think it is suspicious because I have never had such a large transaction with my account before. Going from a $300 to $4100 transaction.
