I had a tanning membership in july. It was like $45 a months, which ended up being like $53.10 after tax (it seemed a little high for tax)
Before August 1st, which was when they charge your account, I paid them $100 to cancel the account. They canceled it and I said great, this won't charge my card, will it? They said yes.
They then gave me a paper to fill out saying why I was canceling. Then they said that I needed to mail it or take it to their office. I said no, I paid you $100, I can fill it out here and mail it but I'm not wasting my money on postage or gas to tell you why I canceled. So I asked again if my card would be charged and they said no.
Well, I looked on my account yesterday, which isn't even the 1st yet, and there's a pending charge of $53.09. It doesn't say who from, but the tanning place is the only place I've even used my card. I'm outraged. I work at the bank where my card is, but I don't keep money on that card. Now I have an outstanding balance and it looks like I overdrew. I know I can get them to put the money back on the card, but can I ask them for the overdraft charge?
I paid my share, and signed paperwork. They should not have taken money out and it's their fault I overdrew.
