There are many forms of business, which sort will suit you is hard for others to decide without knowing more about your experience working, and what you think of businesses you see running, available for sale, or not being serviced so provide opportunity, where you plan to live.
Saving money is hard, losing it is easy...
I trade shares on the stock market, this can provide an income working from home, however like everything it takes learning - particularly how to recognize higher risk investments. There are several good and free forums where other traders comments are well worth reading for this sort of learning :-)
BTW we all are caught sometimes, the challenge is to reduce the quantity and the frequency of the losses, so you can keep trading and making enough to pay the bills ;-)
Wiser people recommend when you start trading, keep your trades minimum to until you learn more, even then try limit so =< 5% of your capital
