First of all you need original cupcake recipes.
They have to be delicious. You have to ask around to get people's opinions. People won't come back if you make horrible tasting cupcakes.
You need to rent a place and have it secured and managed. You have to be certified and pass government kitchen regulations.
You have to hire workers if you want to have a decent sized business.
You can order them on wholesales online. The boxes and such. Cupcake business is tough. You really need to know what you're doing.
Many businesses fail because the rent or cost is too much and they aren't making a profit.
First you need health department approval of your baking facilities. Then you need to convince the store owners or buyers that your product will sell well in their stores and make money for them. You'll need very high limit liability insurance for them to consider you, probably a couple milion dolar limit.

The first two things you need are to incorporate the business in order to protect your assets and the 2nd is insurance should anyone get sick. Companies and people will sue you.
So I want to start my own cupcake business, well not exactly a cupcake business I want to make cupcakes put in cute packaging and sell them to local businesses in my town. What would I need to get to be able to sell my product? And is there a website that I can order plastic cupcake containers off of?! Also a website that can make labels for my cupcake boxes. If anyone knows any information about this kind of stuff all input would be greatly appreciated! I have no clue where to start so I thought I'd ask on here :)
