I'm sorta in the same boat. I've been out of high school for 2 years and have no desire to go to college and have considered having my own business. However, I've found it to be very hard without school first. In high school I sold candy and what not from my locker and made a killing lol. I've considered owning a small convenience store but found it to be a lot harder than I thought. Just go to a small 16 month schooling program after HS. It's not too long and could help you. go find a job u like to do for 40 hr/wks.

go get a library card.

go read books on why 'partner-ships' do not float (work).

read books on self employment that is what a 'business'

is the first 5 yr most time.

learn how to be self employed while working a 40 hr/wk.

do not have motivation? go volunteer at homeless shelter

for motivation.

if u think college is 'hard' , u in for rude awakening.

most 'business' owners work 60 -80 hr/wks

for years to earn a minimum wage when math is done.

get a job u like and pays a living income.

USE the library to learn b4 u get Burned.

u will need to learn about credit, slavery and

losing money b4 doing much.

We can't really tell you what kind of business, you can your friend need to figure that out on your own.

So, I'm a senior in highschool and have decided I want to have a small business of my own! I want to go into this with a buddy of mine and be my own boss! Here is the problem! I don't know what kind of small business to open? What kind of small business can I open in like a strip mall for example that will make enough money for 2 people to make a decent living off of? I don't plan of going to college because I don't have the motivation or desire! I need a business idea that doesn't require a college degree like being an engineer or something for example!
