Yes, an individual or a sole proprietor can form an LLC.
Call your city Bar Association for a referral to an attorney.
I would recommend a good CPA help you. If your company is successful, you will need the CPA for a myriad of other services, anyway. Taxes, accounting, etc.
An LLC will not keep you from being sued or from being financially responsible for injuries and damages caused by you to 3rd parties. You will need a good insurance agent.
Wanting to form an LLC for a website. Just taking precautions that I don't get sued somewhere down the road. Anyway, not very familiar with setting up an LLC so I had a few questions. Also, this will be in the state of texas, I will be the only owner/employee.
My questions are:
1. Is it better to get a CPA to setup a LLC instead of doing it myself? What are the cost?
2. Can an individual form a LLC?
3. What paperwork/filings are required to be kept up after forming an LLC and how often, monthly, yearly...etc?
4. Is it better to get a CPA to keep up with LLC filings?
Thanks.
