Follow Pauline's advice, although I'd add something to that -- make sure you get all their personal info off their facebook page along with a clear profile picture before you mention the police to them, just in case they block you.
You could follow Paulines advice but where it falls down is that the Police will not be in the slightest bit interested.
Nope.
You contact the "partner" again and offer condolences on their problems, but insist that either the "seller" or "partner" returns your money or you will be going to the police.
I am owed £50 by someone. I bought a secondhand Two tone Airsoft gun off of someone off of facebook as something I could mess around the internals with.
A couple of days after it was supposed to be delivered I message the seller to fin out what had happened he then said to wait until the following Friday. Nothing came of it in which he then said yes he's got it he got the address wrong and he is going to send it off again. This then happens again and I get worried that this guy isn't legit.
I then keep giving him chances (Stupid I know) to keep returning the money and I keep getting a variety of answers and excuses and that he will pay me on payday and all that.
This is one excuse I got from his facebook account. (took out the actual names replaced with buyer and seller)
Seller's Facebook: "Hi buyer am Sellers partner Seller has been put in a coma I thought u new"
Me: "Oh how?"
Seller's Facebook: "He has been suffering from insomnia hadn't slept for days hospital have put him under for a while"
If you can help that would be appreciated.
(Note, I bought it through my debit account, could I charge a cashback?)
