Royal mail first class?

If something is sent off in the UK on the morning, will it most likely come the next morning (to the UK)

using Royal Mail First Class? Ten points for best answer.

Normally, but not definitely. A postman friend says that if a delivery round is not completed at a certain time, it carries over to the next day; this would include any 1st.Class mail in the bag.

Royal Mail postie here.

Depends where your sending it.

On the Mainland and NI then currently 93% of 1st class mail is delivered next working day (Mon - Sat).

In the highlands of Scotland and most of the Islands currently it stands at around 75% get there next working day.

However, some areas are undergoing vast changes in the way they deliver mail and in these areas sometimes mail is delayed. For unofficial advice see source

First class should get to its destination the next working day. I believe the target is about 96% of first class mail to reach its destination the following day.

If it has been sent before 4pm then yes it will get there next day :)
