I recently started working at a new IT company based in the city as I used to work in my home town doing IT (The previous company had their own servers and provided their own hosting for client. I then left the home town job in search for a job in the city (More money and higher responsibility and opportunity). So I went for the interview (More of a technical interview, managed to get offered the job, which i took as i felt that this was a next step.
Now three months in, I am uncertain if i want to stay here any more than a year, this company is a lot smaller and do not have any servers or domains and when i questioned this i got "everything is in the cloud" now personally i think that not even using windows AD, that was a excuse for being cheap (A server is not that expensive nor using AD).
I also come from a more professional IT Background (started as a apprentice over 6 years ago) in which i worked for a more professional company and this company (now) is much more relaxed.
Whilst i do enjoy it as IT is my passion and career, I do not feel this is the right step for me, my previous company focused a lot on training where this is non existent here, I cannot imagine being here any longer than a year.
