New Business Car Lease & Tax Deductions.?

You can only deduct a vehicle if it is used in the course of work, not for commuting, which is what you would be doing. In the course of work means delivery vans, taxis, people who drive for a living like social service case workers who do home visits, that sort of thing. Driving to a job is not decuctable

I plan on speaking to an accountant within the next couple of months.

I am starting a new dog walking business and I will need a car to get to clients I plan on leasing a car but my credit score was recently knocked down due to errors with student loans that I have not been able to dispute yet (long frustrating story).

Anyhow my husband has almost perfect credit and said he doesn't mind putting the lease in his name. My question is will I be able to deduct the payments that I will be making on the car if it is in his name?

The business will be an LLC.

Thanks in advance!
