If anything, it was her boyfriend's fault for not being honest with you straight away about the surprise he was planning.
You told her information that you thought was relevant. It would have strange if you hadn't told her he'd come back!
You couldn't have known what he was planning, so don't beat yourself up about it. You didn't give away the party surprise and I'm sure she will understand. If anything, she should be happy that she can obviously rely on you to tell the truth. If she's mad at you or fires you over this, you're better off getting away from people like that.
Honest mistake don't beat yourself up :(
So i babysit for a woman named jenn and taday was her birthday. Her boyfriend lives out of town and told her that he could not make it for her birthday ( i didnt know about this) so when jenn was at work her boyfriend came home and right after that jenn texts me to check up on her child. I told she was behaving well and i also told her that her boyfriend came home just so she knows. A few minutes later he sees that jenn is calling me and informs me... He adds right before i pick up "dont tell her im here." i said "ok" i instanly felt sick because i felt so bad. i did exactly what he didnt want me to. I then find out that they were planning a suprise party for her! I feel so bad because i feel like i ruined the suprise. (she didnt know about the party, just her boyfriend.) i just needed to get this off my chest because i have been dweling on it all day and it hurts my stomach. How can i shake this bed feeling? i feel like she will want to fire me :(
