Your business plan is unique offering different ethnic food. Think about how that will work for you, what foods you need to keep on hand especially fresh foods. How will you market to the target customer when they don't know what to expect? How will you find cooks who are good at more than one cuisine? You might be seen a mediocre at a lot of things instead of expert on one thing. Also decorating will be confusing. When you go into an ethnic restaurant like Chinese or Mexican you expect to see ethnic decorations.
What's the idea? You can't just "start a business" - it's not some generic thing. Any good business has a value proposition at the core - something it can do that someone else actually wants, priced at a point they can afford it. Without knowing that, hard to really help.
There's a lot of generic small business books that are out there on the legal components, but that's just paperwork - having an business name and account and tax # and all that is rather pointless if your core business value proposition is garbage.
The core value proposition also determines things like capital requirements, cash flow, labour, requirements, license/legal issues, marketing...pretty much everything.
Perhaps it's best to take a community college course or two on business management, with your business idea in mind. It never hurts to have that develop with the help of others.
I would like to start my own business also. I clicked here hoping someone answered and I could get some ideas too. I only know one tip from a man who has a business. He said most people who start a business make one big mistake. They give up too soon. He says it takes at least one or 2 years to build up customers... so at first it looks like a failure for a long time and most people give up. Other than that... I hope other people answer your question.
See if you can locate a "SCORE" group. They are retired business owners that act as mentors. See if you can set up a meeting with one of them to discuss your idea and the feasibility of setting up a real business. It will not be easy without money.
I have no money, I'm a 23 year old stay at home mother, and my husband and I, live with my mom. I have an idea for a business, and I want to see if it would be possible to make real. How would I go about doing such a thing. I have NO experience in owning a business, and I've never actually had a job. NO idea where to start, where to go next, and no money. No one in my family has any business experience either, but I'd like to make this idea possible if I can. Please help me and please no bashing.
